Tools Required

  • Pentalobe screwdriver (P2)
  • Tri-point Y000 screwdriver
  • Phillips #000 screwdriver
  • Large suction cup
  • Plastic pry tools / spudger
  • Fine-tip tweezers
  • Heat gun or iOpener
  • Magnetic mat
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max OLED replacement screen

Replacement Process

  1. Power off the iPhone completely
  2. Remove two pentalobe screws at bottom
  3. Heat all edges thoroughly (6.7" display needs extra time)
  4. Open carefully from left side
  5. Support the large display at 90°
  6. Disconnect battery before any other work
  7. Remove display cable bracket screws
  8. Disconnect all display and sensor cables
  9. Transfer Face ID/Dynamic Island assembly CAREFULLY
  10. Install new display
  11. Test everything before sealing (Face ID, Dynamic Island, touch, display)

Post-Repair Expectations

⚠️ After non-Apple repair:
  • Settings will show "Unknown Part" warning
  • True Tone disabled without reprogramming
  • Always-On Display may not function correctly
  • Auto-brightness may behave differently
  • Dynamic Island should work if sensors transferred correctly
