Remove the Screen

Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the logic board. Remove any shields and disconnect it before proceeding.
Apply Heat to Battery
The battery is glued to the back case. Apply heat to the BACK of the iPad (flip it over) to soften the adhesive underneath.
Pry Battery Carefully
Use plastic tools ONLY. Apply isopropyl alcohol under the edges to help dissolve adhesive. Work slowly. Never bend the battery.
Install New Battery
Place the new battery, connect it, test the iPad. Once confirmed working, secure with adhesive and reassemble.
