Tools Required
- Pentalobe screwdriver (P2)
- Tri-point Y000 screwdriver
- Phillips #000 screwdriver
- Suction cup
- Plastic pry tools / spudger
- Tweezers
- Heat gun or iOpener
- Magnetic mat
- iPhone 14 replacement screen
Replacement Process
- Power off the iPhone
- Remove two pentalobe screws next to Lightning port
- Heat edges to soften adhesive
- Open from left side using suction cup and pick
- Support display at 90°
- Disconnect battery first
- Remove display cable bracket screws
- Disconnect display and sensor cables
- Transfer Face ID/earpiece assembly
- Install new display
- Test before sealing
Post-Repair Notes
⚠️ After replacement:
- Settings will show "Unknown Part" warning
- True Tone may be disabled without reprogramming
- Face ID should work if module transferred correctly
- Auto-brightness may behave differently
