Display Specifications

  • Display: 5.5-inch Retina HD LCD

Tools Required

  • Pentalobe screwdriver (P2)
  • Tri-point Y000 screwdriver
  • Phillips #000 screwdriver
  • Suction cup
  • Plastic pry tools / spudger
  • Tweezers
  • iPhone 8 Plus LCD replacement screen

Replacement Process

Same as iPhone 8 but slightly larger:

  1. Power off the iPhone
  2. Remove two pentalobe screws at bottom
  3. Use suction cup to lift display from bottom
  4. Screen hinges at top - open like a book
  5. Disconnect battery
  6. Remove display brackets and disconnect cables
  7. Transfer Home Button/Touch ID to new screen
  8. Transfer earpiece and sensors
  9. Install new display and test

Touch ID Transfer

⚠️ CRITICAL: Transfer your original Home Button to preserve Touch ID functionality. Replacement buttons won't support fingerprint unlock.
